Expansion
On April 27, 2009 - fourth anniversary of the mall - the venture opened its first expansion. The first phase of expansion is to the opening of the third floor with more than eighty shops in addition to bringing new anchor stores that had branches in the state such as Lojas Renner and Cotswold. The second phase - expected to start operating by the end of 2009 - refers to the opening of the Midway Hall, a music hall with a capacity of 3.5 thousand people. The second phase will open yet another food court, an area with six gourmet restaurants, plus some shops and probably a new parking garage. It is worth noting that with the expansion, the Midway Mall has the largest store Riachuelo in Brazil, since it expanded to the third floor. |
